I watched the first series up when the guy was gassed in his car in the garage.
But that was the last resort as I already was losing interest in it.

I stopped watching after season 4 becuase real life White House politics got more scandalous and entertaining.

Its much harder to understand (the double entendre runs deeper), the chemistry between characters is reduced too (but I suspect this was on purpose), and it’s a slow-cook thing; in previous seasons you get used to Francis putting out fires every episode, now it takes a bit longer.
